Its been a year since my last post in January 2013.

I have graduated from ACCA 1 year and has been an affiliate for a year now.
Officially working as permanent full time accountant for 8 months. 4 months to my anniversary.

Looking back 2013, i realised i didn't do much.
Work, rest, eat & sleep. Day after day. I have not been learning new things. Have not been trying to do much more things like learning about the world more.
Except for reading novels (chinese, online ones) everyday.

There are of course, things i want to do or wanted to do. But are just too lazy to action on it. And i guess now should be the time to start upgrading myself.

So now, its 2014. I do not say i will regret how i spend my 2013. But i would like to say if there is anything i should try differently in 2014.

1. Work: Now working as accounts executive in a pharma company. This is different from most company as our products are marketed with our distributor. We have only one AR (less work for me) and having only to handle AP and data entries. However, being the only accountant (and my boss)... i find it rather stressful! My boss depends on me for data entries and looking at the finance information of the company. I cannot take much leave especially during month end closing. Somemore, other than being just accountant, i have to handle HR matters (not doing interviews) and some admin works at times. Meanwhile, the company are now undergoing big structural changes. This means much more responsibility, and also a big change in reporting. I wonder how long i can handle it.

2. Family: Big big changes in the family since we are going to welcome new member!! A new sister-in-law in the family (officially) in Mar 2014. Really appreciate and fully welcome my sister-in-law to the family. I have a feeling that she will be the bridge for my family and my brother to remain connected!!

3. Friends: Been meeting friends around the year. But sometimes i asked myself if it is enough. I have hardly organize big group of meeting because it will be harder to make everyone coordinate with a schedule. But i want to say that i will try my best to meet as many individual friends as possible. I have no wish to break any connection with my friends.

4. Love: I am someone who are looking forward to have a family. I am a too homely person to try and explore new people. My parent are now pushing me to find someone as well. I have join SDN for a start and since met with someone new. However, it didnt work out. So yes, will still be waiting my one!

After updating on 2013, its really time for me to think of a new year resolution for 2014!

1. Learn one foreign language (preference, korean).
2. Improve my excel skills (since accounts really depends very much on excel!!)
3. Learn new skills??
4. Look for partner(??!)
